Where to buy a new 9403 module?

Good evening CD,

For the past few years FIRST Team 1247 has been looking to buy another cRIO for use in a demo/training bot. With this year's FIRST Choice offer of a 8-slot cRIO for only 9 credits, we pounced. However, it is only the chassis, and does not include any modules. The NI website has them for well over $300, and we are curious if there is a way to get an FRC discount (Andymark does not carry them) or if we will be paying full price...

Apologies if I have missed something obvious...

Thanks,
Joe, FIRST Team 1247

I'm also looking for the same thing. Over in this thread Saberbot has an email out to NI. I've also sent a PM to Chris Rake to NI although I'm not sure if he's active.

Teams definitely need an option to purchase the module(s) at a reasonable price to accompany the new 8-slot cRIOs...it makes no sense that a new 4-slot cRIO plus modules is cheaper than buying the modules alone.

From https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-19103

The NI 9403 module is $342.00 for FRC teams. You can call or E-mail them with the information on that that page to order.

Right - we're investigating the possibility of cheaper options, particularly for teams who purchased an empty 8-slot cRIO and would like to purchase all three modules without breaking the bank (seriously - it's cheaper to get a new 4-slot cRIO with the 3 modules than purchasing the 3 individually, it makes no sense)

Re: Where to buy a new 9403 module?

We've noticed that the prices listed do not reflect the full discount given to FIRST teams. We're working on updating that document, but in the mean time the pricing should be more like:

9201: $152
9403: $175
9472: $89

Re: Where to buy a new 9403 module?

Update: Pricing has been adjusted so teams don't have to ask to apply a separate discount when ordering. Pricing will be live tomorrow, so if you're in the process of quoting IO modules, you may need to double check the pricing to make sure it is correct.
