Don't suppose that you have any pictures or steps of the process laying around that you could share with the community?

Re: Anyone Recently modify DeWalts?

CRyptonite 624 used to have a good step by step instruction on their webpage. I don’t see it anymore, but you might try to send an inquiry their way to see if they still have it saved somewhere.

Not laying around, but I can get some this evening when the team meets. They used it on the 2012 robot, to power the bridge arm harvester. The motor is one of the KoP 775s. which fits nicely in the DeWalt case and required only a very simple adapter plate. We re-used the stock pinion from the drill, which was a perfect press fit for the 775 shaft.

Will post some pictures when I have them.

EDIT: Never mind, see Andrew's post#11 a little further down -- Killer Bees have this one covered quite well. They iterated a few times and got a much more elegant solution.

I believe in intuition and inspiration. Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution. It is, strictly speaking, a real factor in scientific research.
