New laptop - cRIO RC software

Good afternoon everyone,

I'm trying to figure out how to get a new laptop to control the robot. I have the laptop set up to program the robot, but am not sure what I need to remotely control it. Is it part of LabVIEW? Is there a way to download it or do we have to wait until we get a new copy this weekend?

Thank you!

Re: New laptop - cRIO RC software

It will change on Saturday when the new Driver Station app. is released.
But it's just a matter of installing the 2013 Driver Station from NI (encrypted until 1/5/13) from the Technical Resources page.

If you wish to use the default Dashboard, then there may be dependencies that require a few packages from the LabVIEW installation stick, but not the whole LabVIEW environment if you don't want it.

Re: New laptop - cRIO RC software

You merely need to install the Driver Station software on the computer. It was provided as a separate installer/update last year. The Driver Station software for this year is already available, but it is currently encrypted and we will not receive the key until after Kickoff.
