Re: Colored Frisbee

You must match your color of frisbee to your pyramid to score on the pyramid.
Outside of pyramid scoring, they are just normal frisbees.

Quote:
SCORED: A DISC is considered SCORED in an ALLIANCE’S GOAL if any part of the DISC has crossed through the opening of the GOAL, is in the GOAL at the end of the MATCH, and the DISC is not in contact with any ROBOT from that ALLIANCE. Additionally, for a DISC to be considered SCORED in an ALLIANCE’S PYRAMID GOAL, it must correspond to the PYRAMID color.

Re: Colored Frisbee

They're the only frisbees that score in the pyramid goals. The white frisbees are not scoring if they're in a pyramid goal.

Re: Colored Frisbee

Also, you can't score disks into the opposing alliance's pyramid goal.

An ALLIANCE may not put DISCS in their opponents’ PYRAMID GOAL. Violation: TECHNICAL FOUL per DISC.

From what I've read, I would say you absolutely can. Of course, their human player has control of their discs at the start of a match, so in an ideal match the colored discs won't just be lying on the field for you to snatch.

Re: Colored Frisbee

The colored Frisbee are the only ones able to be used in the Pyramid Goal. There for decreasing the focus of the Pyramid Goals because there are only 12 colored Frisbee per alliance, limiting a Pyramid Goal score to 60 points, which is still a large score, but teams would need to reliably obtain the colored Frisbee and also reliably score them in the goal on top of the Pyramid. This also creates a predicament for teams that want to be able to safely just dump the Frisbee into the goal, because they would need to do that at least 3 times to get all of the Frisbee in the goal. The other thing about it is that it is hard to shoot at, and the lip and surface area of the goal is very small, making it difficult to put all of the Frisbee in there, if it is even possible!

This game is going to be one of the most interesting I have ever seen! Can't wait for some of the robots produced for this game!

Re: Colored Frisbee

I have another question regarding the Frisbees during the tele-op period. Are you allowed to take the opponent's frisbees in their key, if there's none of the opposing robots in the key? In other words, can you take the frisbees from the opponent's side's feeder, if none of the opposing robots are in the key?

So far it looks like it is safe to enter an opponent's LOADING ZONE; you just can't touch an opponent while they are touch the carpet in their LOADING ZONE as per G30.

My bad, sorry about that. Thanks for correcting me. So 6 Frisbee makes a max of 30 points on the Pyramid Goal.
