Climbing Rules

When reviewing the rules of the game, my team came across this rule.

G02

Teams may not climb on the PYRAMID.

Violation: YELLOW CARD

For the purpose of G02, this is the colloquial use of “climb,” not the ULTIMATE ASCENT use of “CLIMB.”

We are unsure of what they mean by we cannot climb.

Re: Climbing Rules

Since the manual uses teams instead of ROBOT, I believe that this rule (and G1) refer to members of the team, not the robot.

Thus team members cannot climb on the pyramid to set up their robot, retrieve discs, retrieve their robot, etc.

Re: Climbing Rules

Re: Climbing Rules

That rule is the reason they made the belay system. They just want to keep it safe so that no line has to be in danger after a match
