I agree with the sketch > revolve work flow. Also, to hollow out the part, use the Loft command. Loft is high up on my coolest commands in Inventor list!

Going further, The same part, when added to a full design, refuses to go to where I want it to.
This is where I put it, and then I save it: ![]() Then when I save it, and then open up after closing it again, it just goes back to the original placement: ![]() |

Oh, that must be it. But it does not explain why a few other pieces are staying in place after a save...

Depending on the constraint, you need 1 to 3 constraints to secure one part to another.
Could you zoom in on the part and also open up any constraints you have on the part thats moving? |
