The actual field will have the mesh tack-welded to steel strips that run along the sections or the ramp.
wood planks under mesh: | | | || | | || | | | Bolded = wood with strips. Also the top's will have a steel strip welded on. The strips are then counter-sinked and screwed into place. If you are building a practice field, staples should do the trick just fine.
