Go to Post It's a good things we're engineers who regularly squeeze out 'miracles' with a severely limited budget, eh? I think that's an important aspect that we as mentors need to show the students from time to time, and this year is a perfect opportunity. - JesseK [more]

ERROR: DriverStationUpdate.zip is not a valid zip file?

I've tried redownloading the zip several times and extracting on both a Windows 8 laptop and a Windows 7 desktop, but despite trying 4 different zip file extraction programs, I haven't been successful in getting any to extract it.
7zip at least gives me the option of inputting the password, but even so, it just tries and fails at extracting a garbage "merged.bin" file.
I've also tried WinZip, WinRar, and Explorer's Zip handler on both Win 7 and 8.

I've downloaded through both the NI Downloader, and the basic Zip download and both seem give me the same invalid file of the same size.

Am I just crazy or is anyone else having issues?

Nope, not crazy. There are a couple of us having the same kind of problem with the LabVIEW update file. This makes me think it's at the NI end. My plan is to wait until tomorrow and try again when I'm at work.

Re: ERROR: DriverStationUpdate.zip is not a valid zip file?

Yeah, I think NI had an update service outage about 8PM CST, and apparently since the Labview Update and Driver Station Update files are corrupt.
The FRC Utilities seem to work fine for me though.

Should be fixed this morning. Post back on ni.com/frc if you continue to see any issues.
