Getting the Axis Camera Working

Hello. We are trying to get the Axis Camera working. We have followed the instructions in this document: http://wpilib.screenstepslive.com/s/...an-axis-camera.

However, in spite of our best efforts, we have been unsuccessful in making the camera work. We can see it when we visit its IP address in a browser, but it doesn't want to talk to the DriverStation when plugged into the CRIO. We are using the Axis Camera setup tool. We installed the latest software, but it says it is v. 2012.1.18. Is this the correct version? Do you have any idea what is wrong? If you got it working, what did YOU do?

Did you run the camera configuration? It updates the camera to have an account called FRC with a password of FRC so that it will serve images to the driver station application. You can also do the setup using the web browser.

The default dashboard is built to connect to the camera through the Radio, not the cRIO.

Why do you want to plug it into the cRIO? Note that the default cRIO code is also set up to work with the camera connected to the bridge.

I highly recommend configuring the camera with the tool using the robot radio option, then hooking the camera up there. It is much easier.

It also looks like the new Dashboard won't show the camera feed unless the DS is running and connected to the cRIO.
