Post Fuses

One of the fuses went bad on the robot controller (black round ones). Can anyone tell me where I can buy these? Are they available at Rdio Shack?

Thanx in advance for any help

make sure it's pushed in all the way. at one competition, we took our robot out for a match, and the fuse error light was on. we were confused, cause it had been fine at the last competition (we went to three last year), and no one had touched it since. a technician came over, spent 5 minutes trying to figure out what was wrong, and came to the conclusion that one of the fuse leads had popped out somehow. 3 seconds later, he bent the lead so it was straight again, popped it back in, and everything was working.

if that doesn't work, i would suggest talking to innovationfirst, as they would know exactly what fuse you need.

Jdawson,
which of the four blew, that may lead you to what part of the controller caused it to blow. It has happened before to us, then it mysteriously went away.

The Aux fuse is intended to protect external devices powered from the controller. The manual suggests it is for powering the gyro only. If you connected something instead of the gyro then it was either wired wrong or shorted the line intended to feed the gyro.

Thanks I am sure that is what happened. I did not notice that it said to connect the gyro to that one pin. That won't happen again..............

First off, don't shout. All caps is the online equivalent of shouting. Second, Team Update #6 says that FIRST just received the 40A fuses, and four of them are being shipped out now.
