Thank you all for the feedback.
And yes the Talon uses surface mount FET'S. Each FET has an RDS on of only .8-1.2 milliOhms so only one per leg is required. |

They are startlingly beautiful FETs: significantly better than what was available when we first started on this control system rev.

Yes, FET technology keeps getting better and better. We are currently designing a product that uses FETs that are basically a bare die on a metal slab capable of handling 300+ amps at 60 volts.
