Rookie Team - help with rotating in CAD

We made the rails of our drive train in CAD, but we don't know how to rotate in 3D to put them together. Help?

What are you using?
If you're using inventor, open up an assembly file and place your pieces and then press C (constraint) and constrain them anyway you like. Here are some videos that may help:

edit: oh I see what your problem is. Hold down shift and drag around with your scroll piece on the mouse.
