Rule Clarification Help

We are wondering if we can get a little rules "help". Do you think it's okay if a fixed part of your robot "hangs over" the frame. as long a a) it stays with in the 54 in cylinder and b) doesn't extend beyond the bumpers. It is fixed (non-articulating).

If it's not a bolt head/fastener end/rivet you probably will have an issue during inspection.

Re: Rule Clarification Help

Everything has to start behind the frame perimeter at the start of the match (with the rule exception of minor protrusions). No "mushroom bots"

It will not pass..........
Starting configuration must be within your frame perimeter.
You can expand as soon as auto starts and stay that way as long as you are within the other size limitations.... height (depending on where you are on the field) and the dreaded 54" cylinder....

Remember also that anything hanging out is fair game for another robot to come along and hit with their robot and you may also have entanglement issues depending on how it is made.

Smile Re: Rule Clarification Help

Thank you so much. I was pretty sure that was the case but...
We will just have to make some minor readjustments!
