We did, it works alright. They get sort of stuck sometimes but we just have to back up for a second and it comes right out. Nothing major.

There also wasn't a lot of weight on this robot and we could tell from driving it. We need to get a good/safe way to add weight and than we can do more robust drive tests.

It's sheet metal instead of extrusion.

We should be getting our vexpro chassis parts in the mail in a few days. Thinking about the driving over Frisbees problem....it seems it would be relatively easy to put some type of "skirt" at each end of each chassis side, to push Frisbees aside rather than drive over them. Perhaps just a short piece of Lexan or something.

I know they're fabricated differently. I meant like in terms of use. Ease of construction, strength, attaching extra pieces, etc. etc. etc.

From what we've experimented with the kitbot (6wd long configuration) you can just drive over a frisbee and the drivetrain'll spit it right back out.

How much chain wrap do you have on the wheel between the front set and the gearbox? Looks very minimal, but I can't quite tell.

It's not as much as we would like and we may try to work on it.

The top of the chassis is above the top of the wheels so you can mount things above the wheel wells. There are more holes (1/2" spaced instead of 1" spaced).
