I don't think it would work for any event other than IRI. Almost anywhere else, teams would bid all their "money" on the top few teams. IRI is deep enough that teams would have a reason to grab from the middle tier instead of just the top. I'd definitely be up for it.

No way I'm doing this for any other event. The way I have it set up the draft woul,d take 6 hours. I'm not interested in doing six hour drafts every night in November and December.
