Motors
I think that this year there is a great deal of potential to see more smoking, burning, and otherwise ill motors than in the past couple of years.
For one, any robot trying to push, pull, drag, or lift and move two or three goals is looking at a pretty heavy load on their drive system. Also, if there are two bots with great traction pulling at either side of a goal, in attempt to bring it to their scoring zone, there could be a lot of amps drawn. Possibly the most strenous task might be to move a robot of the opposing team to your home zone. Does this seem logical, or am I forgetting something simple? Tyson |

By simple you mean teams designing their robots to handle this?
Your probably right, but the smart teams will have some sort way of preventing motors from stalling so the breaker dosnt trip. If the breaker trips then that robot will lose whatever pushing/pulling match it was in. I personally beleive this year's game is going to be a drive system competiton as much as anything. |
