Talking [Video] 3753 progress in 3 weeks

http://youtu.be/muhzq_TwARc

I'm not the camera person on our team but have taken a few pictures and videos of my own throughout the build season and I decided to put them all together in one video. I used Windows Movie Maker, though it was my first time with it so I kept things simple hehehe. I think it turned out pretty well though.

Hope you like it! If you have any questions, thoughts or feedback, feel free to post here or leave a comment on the video.

Re: [Video] 3753 progress in 3 weeks

This is a great video for your "rookie" video. I think that you did a terrific job showcasing a terrific robot. I think you had a great overall recap of Team 3753's build season so far. I would suggest that you include your team's logo at the begging of the video for branding purposes and also to include a thank you to your team's sponsors at the end of the video. This http://youtu.be/2IH6o_y0t4I is how our team includes these two items.

Also I really think your team's robot will be a great shooter this year.

Re: [Video] 3753 progress in 3 weeks

thanks for the feedback As for a logo, we're still working on that. This is our 3rd year as a team and the last two years we were Raptor Robotics, but it just.. never really felt right. Sure we had a logo and a name, but we didn't use it. So this year we changed our name, logo, decided on a color scheme (black and blue), etc and are really finding our identity this year. However the logo isn't 100% done yet and I don't have a copy of it to add to the video yet.
I also wanted to add a picture of our team but again, didn't have one on me.

I'll definitely upload another video within the coming weeks, hopefully of the TEAM as well as the robot, and a logo

And for the shooter... yeah, we're EXTREMELY pumped! Yesterday the team left after the normal 6 hours we do on Saturday, but the lead mechanic, lead electrician, and I stayed another 6 hours and got an amazing amount of work done. We're starting to truly think we have a shot at top 8 at our regionals

That and a great program that cycles it while you go the button.

Re: [Video] 3753 progress in 3 weeks

Are the rapid-fired discs consistent, as the wheels might not have time to speed up after firing?

When we were testing our shooter, we learned that the discs need to be fired at approximately 1 second intervals to obtain adequate consistency.

This depends entirely on the speed of the shooter and the distance from the goal. At full speed, the shots were relatively consistent for short-medium range. At 35%, we needed to wait ~3 seconds between shots for them to be accurate from behind the pyramid into the 3 point slot.
