Frisbee Skeet Shooter

Hey, this is my first post so bear with me I'm on 3131 and I was wondering if anyone else is working on and or has had success with an arm based skeet type shooter. I'd love to here peoples results! We've shot 6 in a row from 50 feet.

We took a video of it today on our robot but I personally don't have a video of it. I'll get it asap.

Thanks, I remember seeing that one now. That is WAY different from what we're doing though. They three have major differences right now.
1) 45 degrees approximately which is cause the Frisbee to leave the arm at a right angle.
2) it's probably a little under powered.
3) Although probably not a huge problem, the self the Frisbee is sitting on does cause some problems as well.

Here's a couple videos.

Re: Frisbee Skeet Shooter

I don't think so but we still need to test that. Also we're not at as much power as we were on the prototype. Mainly that was just a test of our storing mechanism which we just got put on today.

Re: Frisbee Skeet Shooter

Oh ok. Just seeing if you had thought about it. Just one more curious question, are you shooting from that high up or was that just for testing?

Re: Frisbee Skeet Shooter

Yep, that's our shooting height, I believe it's about 45 or 50 inches off the ground.

Re: Frisbee Skeet Shooter

I have yet to see one from that height. Most have been low to the ground shooters. Are you planning to climb?

Re: Frisbee Skeet Shooter

Alrighty. Can't wait to see it all finished. Very different approach to shooting, but that's what FIRST is about.

Re: Frisbee Skeet Shooter

Right now I'm not sure exactly how consistent it is, but our prototype was REALLY consistent. 5/5 in the 3 point from 50 feet. 3 in a row hitting a 2x4 with now more that + or - 1 inch vertical deviation from 50 feet ect.
