So which wheel do you suppose gives the best performance? We bought a set of the blue ones and are fairly satisfied with the performance of them. at about 3/8th compression and a 3:1 / 1:1 BAG motor set up we're getting somewhere around 275 inches and about 20 inches of spread. This is from a horizontal shooting position, table height.

I think they are using all 3.

Re: pic: Team 3929 Teaser

We have chosen this set up that you see based on many hours of testing with our shooter. Basically they are set up in order of decreasing tread density. This is basically because we saw the green ones, although offering usually better results, they got chewed up pretty good. This set up pretty much voids any need to decrease the first few wheels. Of course we will continue to test this with our final shooter because we are planning on having to change out wheels rather frequently because even in this set up the less dense green wheels still get a little battered. If you want to see more of our shooter prototypes check us out at http://youtube.com/user/FRC3929

I heard that they were doing a 3 wheeled linear shooter. Was hoping that they might have done some wheel prototyping. Alas, luck was not on my side again.

Re: pic: Team 3929 Teaser

We (2826) tested all three different wheels from banebots and saw no difference in distance. The only difference was the wear of the wheel, the blue wheels last well over 20 times longer in our tests than wither the green or orange wheels....
