Adding extra motors to joysticks

We are trying to use two joysticks to control our robot. We have a tank drive and are trying to program an extra motor on each joystick, this is what we have so far but we dont know what to do next.

Re: Adding extra motors to joysticks

You need to decide what control you want the drivers to use in turning those motors on and off.

Maybe a third joystick, or buttons, or something.
Then you can wire those controls in.

Re: Adding extra motors to joysticks

One speed?
Both motors run together, so they share a common button?

Hold button = on; release button = off?
or
Press one button for on and another for off
or
toggle a single button so first press=on; second press = off; rinse & repeat
