We designed it carefully so that it fits in the 54" cylinder until it touches the tower where the 54" cylinder can be in any orientation.

you guys aren't violating G23-1 B. when you intiailly start your climb, are you?

It's hard to tell, but is there any anti-backdrive in the gearboxes? It seems like they might backdrive and you could sag down below the 2nd rung after power is cut if you're not folded all the way up.
It's a very cool system, I was really hoping someone would make a flipper climber! |

Tumbleweed!(Our team nickname for the idea) This was a climbing idea I was sad to see go off of our list.
