So, how was the episode today?

Spoiler for My thoughts:

I like how it was a musical, but I don't like the plot structure of it. It felt like I was watching 2 halves of 2 different episodes. Also the whole Twilight is now a Mary Sue thing too.

It was good, for a season 3EP, but was a bit rushed and forced. Should of ended with the Equestrian games.

About 2-3 2-parters worth of storylines, Twilight becomes a Mary Sue, and an extremely unsatisfying ending. It just felt like the 13 cut episodes were severely shortened and rammed into one. And the season was going so well...

I did like the music, Ingram hasn't disappointed yet. The poor guy basically had to make up for a half-season of music, though, so it was jammed in too tight.


As is kind of expected when the marketing department grabs the wheel and and sharply WTF-wards, it was kind of meh. I don't blame the writers though, since it seems said marketing department forced their hands.

6.5/10, season 4 is on shaky ground. (And by shaky I mean ice-capped erupting volcano shaky.)

From what I heard EP 1/2 of Season 4 are supposed to continue the finale.

And rewatching it for the first time since the morning, it is a good episode, but again, rushed. If only they just ended the episode with the camera panning out from the scorch mark, cliff hangers FTW. But overall Thank you MA Larson, you gave us a decent EP out of a bad corporate idea. I just hope they can keep Season 4 up.

I'm going to be a rebel here and say the finale was absolutely amazing (and this is from someone who wasn't really fond of the rest of S3, and pretty much hated Wonderbolts Academy). I thought that the premise and execution were spot on, if a little bit underwhelming. There was just a lot more they could have done with it. I have high hopes for S4, especially if the speculation I've read ends up being true.

Well, although the season three finale wasn't super. There is some serious awesomness in it:
- Celestia's Ballad
- Progressive story line
- Overall awesome M.A. Larson work
- Ponies**

Just happened to be talking with you during alliance selection. "So what team you from?"
"1528."
"Oh, do you know a Dean... no, Devin Wiley?"
"Oh, yeah, that's me!"
I was trying tp figure out if I was famous or something and didn't know it. until you said "You're the brony from Chief Delphi!"
I found it too funny we happened to be chatting then. OH, and our pits were right by eachothers the whole time

Any FiM West coast bronies? 1528 will be at St. Joseph next weekend. Perhaps we could give one another a hand or chat.
