Website AND Digital Media Award?

My team just checked the email from FIRST, and we noticed this:

Important Deadlines:

Award Submission (via STIMS):

· Website Award: 2/21/13 @ 12 pm (noon) ET

· Chairman's Award: 2/21/13 @ 12 pm (noon) ET

· Woodie Flowers Award: 2/21/13 @ 12 pm (noon) ET



Anyone want to try and explain this? I, like many others, was under the impression that the Website award was now defunct, and was replaced by the Digital Media Award. I certainly hope that there is something I haven't realised.....

Yes the website award is gone, there was a mistake and they sent a later E-mail correcting the mistake.

There was an error in today’s FRC email blast regarding 2013 FRC Award submissions.

Please note: There is no FRC Website Award this year.

I really wish the the website award was still around. I just redid our website and we really cant do the Digital Media award because our school prohibits us from setting up Facebook/Twitter/Etc.

Phew..... some people quickly corrected me about this on my team.

To be completely honest, I was actually quite happy about it. Having a Website Award would have meant we at least had something to submit for, with the Digital Media award falling off the face of the planet.

I'm still surprised FIRST hasn't released any more information on it yet. Does anyone have any idea on when we're going to get more details?
