Go to Post What I learned from week-1 is that once again my son has been inspired to the level that he came home after the BAE Systems Granite State FIRST Robotics Regional Competition with the biggest smile I have seen on his face for a long long time. I am truly grateful for that. - FIRST_Parent [more]

VEX Pro Spike Relay half-broken(maybe?)

In a previous post in the pneumatics section, I mentioned that the spike would only turn on (forward + green light) if A+B channels were on, which I realized today isn't correct. The spike, given reverse (red light on the DSC) makes the spike go in reverse. Forward, does nothing, green light on DSC, solid orange on the spike. Both, red+green sets the spike to forward, solid green light, when the light should be out for both on, (12v + 12v).

Same compressor code, relay channel, etc all work with a different VEX Pro spike...

Has anyone else experienced this / have a diagnosis / repair method?

Much appreciated,
Joe Porter
