Re: MMRambotics - Shooter Demo

I'm assuming that the rotating part allowed you to aim turret style. How did you allow yourselves to load the shooter while having it pivot?

Our hopper sits right on top of the shooter, as you can see in the photo. When a disk is shot another falls into the shooter. The whole assembly pivots allowing us to load the shooter and pivot at the same time.

Re: MMRambotics - Shooter Demo

Only pivots up and down.
http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fb...type=1&theater

We load by driving up to the feeding station and rotating the hopper to the right height.

The belt we're using is a 25mm wide 5m pitch timing belt. Spun by 2 miniCIMs with a 3.8:1 step up in the gear box. We haven't measured the exactly speed yet.

The shooter is lifted by 2 Bag motors in 100:1 Versa planetary gearboxes. This will also lift the robot for the bonus.
