While temporarily disconnecting our compressor our team pulled the breaker from the spike controlling it and noticed that the compressor was still running.
after taking it apart we noticed that the two pins in the middle of the fuse holder were soldered together. http://www.granitecitygearheads.com/...2013-Spike.jpg The spike functioned normally ,but does any one know if the two pins in the top left by d6 were supposed to be soldered together? Thanks FRC #3244 sorry about the image size i haven't posted much Last edited by artdutra04 : 17-02-2013 at 04:34. Reason: Replaced huge embedded image with link. Re: Warning bad vex pro sipke
If it works after the breaker is pulled, then yes, you pulled enough current at some point to melt the solder and jump the gap. You should be able to fix it with a soldering iron, assuming it functions normally otherwise.

Re: Warning bad vex pro sipke
Its not a bug its a feature!!! Beats arguing that a resettable breaker should be legal there.

Re: Warning bad vex pro sipke
It looks like something with a good hand at soldering can fix. We fixed one of the main terminals that came undone for some reason on our spike and it works fantastically. Judging from the picture, there is a lot of solder on that joint, as well so you might want to remove some of that.
