Re: Team 1448 Robot "50 points in 50 seconds"

"How many shooters can put up 30 points without interference?"

18 points autonomous plus four 3-point shots. 30 points. Piece of cake, defense or no.

I believe many teams will demonstrate and every regional that isn't quite a piece of cake.

I agree with you. I will use the upcoming Bayou as my tent pole since that is the Regional I am attending and not the northeast where every robot must be incredible if they had to go to district level events.

At the Bayou I am predicting there will be approximately 40 shooters there, and predicting only 4 could put up 30 shooting points every game. 10% does not represent a piece of cake to me.

I am also predicting there will be 10 climbers of various quality and only estimate 30% of them will be consisitant, so climbing isn't a piece of cake either. :-)

I believe if you can consistently score 50+ points for your alliance, regardless of how you get it, you will be playing Saturday afternoon. And as we all know, then its up to fate, luck, and just a smidge of skill on who wins the event.
