Would you care to elaborate on how your arm works?

The arm flips the disk. We pull it back and release it with Aren Hill's mechanism from his 1625 days. Surgical tubing provides the force. We had quite and adventure getting the tubing to live (we should do a CD write-up on that someday.) The spin rate is not as high as that of a spinning wheel shooter but the disk flies pretty well.

So the arm that hangs over the bumper does this?

The shooting arm is shown resting against the AM entrapption star. The arm over the bumper is for floor pickup.
