Hypothetically, if FIRST concocted some ridiculous rule to limit the capital resources of teams, 118 would STILL dominate because (obviously) they are willing to spend an enormous amount of time prototyping, designing, and building an incredible robot.
I for one am completely content
NOT spending that much time building a robot. If a group of people are crazy enough to dedicate this much time to an after-school project, then I say let 'em, and give them some awards too so they keep doing it!
Besides, we're just as likely to play with them as against them in quals.
This robot is an unbelievable triumph of creativity, engineering, and teamwork. 'nuf said
