Help!?

The only way team 1077 is going to be able to attend Nationals is if we fundraise all the money. We need the money to register the bot, and the money to get there. We are going to be having like a Punk Show which should give us the amount of money we need to go to Regionals ....Its 4,000 for registering for Nationals and then getting there is another story ...any ideas on how we can get money???

look around for companies that would be willing to sponsor you- you could put their name on your robot and shirt

we lost our main sponsor last year but this year 3 other organizations all chipped in- every cent makes a difference

Yeah, the way to go is sponsors. Call/send letters to sponsors telling them about the FIRST program. You should make contact with technology and science companies especially. Have you tried your local city? Try contacting the media because maybe if you get on TV, that could entice your possible sponsors more.

As for fundraisers my team has, we've sold Krispy Kreme Cards, Krispy Kreme donuts at school, car washes, and a Family Math Night Dinner Fundraiser. You guys could also look into those scratch booklets. You can search for them online. Or try having bake sales.

Good luck!

Have all the parents get together to talk to businesses and handle all the administrative junk.

Have each parent talk to their employer and see if they can get some money. Hit up the groups like Rotary, Elks, Moose...whatever else you have. They normally have money saved up to donate to educational things...what better than a robot club
