According to the robot specs now posted on their website, ground pickup is not present.

My sources say their robot is being worked on heavily as we speak... I wonder if there is a connection.

Elite teams forgoing floor pickup is this year's "really??" design decisions. I think it says something about how challenging this game is when many elite teams chose not to build the "do everything" robots they usually build.

If you look at Einstein alliances in recent history there have always been some "simple" bots on them...or at least robots that don't perform all aspects of the game. 148 in 2008, 4334 last year come to mind immidietly.

Maybe its not "really??" and more of "What do they know".
