Re: 1114's Sneak Preview

They never made it to a practice match today.

From what I heard and saw they where working hard (and efficient) in the pits all day.

I believe they will debut with a pick-up device.

Their specs on the website don't say anything about a floor pickup.
Also, you can tell by reading their specs that their robot is VERY close to the weight limit. If it wasn't, they probably would have powdercoated the whole thing. I don't think they could fit a floor pickup within their weight limit even if they wanted to. That's not meant to take away from the robot (which looks fantastic), it's just an observation.

Perhaps they decided to remove something so they could add a floor pick-up. They could have decided the auton bonus was maybe a little more valuable than they originally thought.

Hopper under the shooter is different than most bots we have seen so far.

Lots of interesting design decisions and I'm excited to see how they work out.
The hopper is on the same plane as the shooter. From a top view, it is a big U, frisbees go in one side, out the other.

Re: 1114's Sneak Preview

That's some pretty hardcore defense. 1114 really zips around the field.
