Re: 30 Point Climb Club

Both 2359 & 1763 hit 30 multiple times at GKC. 1810 did a climb & dump in match 24 and had a 50-point climb & dump in QF 1-2; I don't know if those were their only two.

2359 won the Creativity Award for their climbing mechanism, particularly on their rollers that allowed them to both hold a climb & re-position themselves horizontally along the bar. This allowed them to not have to worry about precise positioning when they started. Both the award presentation & the team member I talked to made a point of noting that it was a freshman that came up with the idea.

1763 was the #1 pick of the 6th alliance captain.

Re: 30 Point Climb Club

3971 successfully climbed to Level 3 numerous times(at least 5) during the North Carolina Regional.

I will try to find a picture since their robot has no wheels.

Re: 30 Point Climb Club

Here's a pic of 1810 in quarterfinals match 1-2 in the Greater Kansas City Regional. This accounted for 50 of the 86 points the #8 alliance scored in that match.

Sorry about the poor quality; it's an extreme crop of a wide-angle shot showing that both 1806 & 1810 scored in the pyramid in that match. SWAT's climb is only to 20, so it wasn't a double-double. And unfortunately they didn't have all 4 disks loaded, so 1810 outscored them in the end game.

3319 also had a no drive train climber at the NC. regional. We climbed the corner of the pyramid for 30pts 7 times and 20pts 2 times. we had the highest climb score of the regional with 310.

Well, sort of for team 2838. One match we pulled up to the the 30 point zone, however either our bumpers caught on the pyramid or our wheels couldn't quite clear the second rung so we only received 20 points. v_v
...then our bot partially broke so we couldn't try to repeat the climb.

Either way, all of the 30 point climbers at the STL regional did great! I'm really happy that the rookie team 4646 got the Rookie Inspiration Award and could successfully pull off corner-based climbs!
