Reducing speed of a motor in autonomous

How can I reduce the speed of a motor during autonomous mode? I'm lost because I'm not using a case structure.

Re: Reducing speed of a motor in autonomous

You just... tell it to go slower.

We're going to need more details about what part you're stuck on. Presumably you're using the Autonomous Independent VI?

If you are, could you upload what you have thus far, or even just a screenshot of it?

What are you using? Please take a screenshot (Save as png or gif for best results) and upload here.

I'd recommend using one of the inputs from the dashboard and passing it along to the motor. That gives your drivers a little control to tune the speed before the match starts.

Re: Reducing speed of a motor in autonomous

all the time? sometimes?

if you just want to change it, keep in mind that a motor takes any number from -1 (reverse) to 1 (forward). Change your -1 constant to -0.5 and it will be half the command. Keep in mind that this does not always mean half-power or half-speed. You will want to tweak the number until you are happy.

you can also put any other number in the -1 to 1 range, like -0.43276 if that is what it takes to do what you want.
