Raise your hand if you don't care about the SuperBowl.

*Raises hand*

Bah. I don't see what's so 'super' about it anyways! Haven't watched the superbowl in years. I don't think I've ever watched it, now that I think about it. I don't even know who's playing. I think it's the raiders...but I have no clue who the other team is. Frankly, I don't care There is something about pro sports that bugs me. They get paid millions of dollars a game then go on strike. A yearly salary of a pro sports athletic team is probably the same as the yearly salary of my entire community. They're overpaid then they whine about not making enough. *sigh* Ohh yeah...and tonight is the night when the most drunk driving accidents will occur. yaaay.

i concur.

shocking! their 3,000,000 is slashed to 2,995,000 and they strike! i mean, think of all the FIRST teams they could sponsor with half that salary and still live in the lap of luxury

Harrison has a little shameless behaviour in the past
*raises hands and jumps up and down*

Nothing special about the superbowl, its just a football game with advertising space costing about 50 times as much.

even geeks/freaks/non-athletes can enjoy it....for 2 minutes every 10 minutes for the commercial breaks that cost more then i'll most likely never make in a lifetime

Only two times a year are bigger than the super bowl (and one only happens every 4 years)
  • Stanley Cup
  • World Cup

I thought I cared, but well...

I'll put it this way, I didn't realize the Superbowl was this weekend until Friday.

Maybe the reason I did care in the past was that the Broncos were actually in it. Its a completely different thing when there is no reason to be interested.

someone on my team said. while arguing about the better team. "the only thing that matters in the superbowl is the final score"... well then that brings another question. if this is true why do so many people watch the $@#$@#$@#$@# thing!!?? ill never understand why people run with something called a "football"

Because we Americans had to call Football Soccer. So we needed to call something Football. You Canadians are guilty of it too!

I enjoy professional sports, but I do agree they shouldn't be making the money they do.

So, professional sports players shouldn't be making what they do, but what about Dean making all his money?

People pay for things they want, and while you may not agree, there are plenty of people out there that want to watch football.

Personaly, I don't care to much about it, other then it is a major event in the US, and being informed of current events includes the Superbowl.

People, people, people! The Super Bowl is an American institution. If you don't watch the Super Bowl for its sheer aura and the commercial, you don't deserve to call yourself an American. Also, if the main thing you look for is the graphics during the Super Bowl, you need therapy. That is the last one you should look at with an excellent football game going on.
