If that is the case or not on some teams, it doesn't matter.
The point of FIRST is to get a wide range of kids together and have them work as a TEAM.
Each company has different parts, building, presenting, leading.. Etc.
If what you say is the situation on your team, then if it wasn't for the girls, you wouldn't have the money to participate, or the rep. to be known.
