Eclipse C++ as IDE

After kicking around with Windriver, I like Eclipse much better. I know Windriver is built off of Eclipse (with extra plugins). I have seen the Windriver icon flash from the original to the Eclipse icon. Is there any way to edit the code in Eclipse and deploy it? Is there an outside deploying application to use? I mainly want this so I can work on it on a Mac.

It shoud work on Mac's, but I would like to know any issues, so if you can either post result here, or I am often on irc://freenode.net/#frc-c++11
