At BMR during our (FRC 1501) second match, our robot was ganged up by ALL three opponent robots.
After the match we were informed that they were all warned about blockading.

Unless you're already resolving yourself to defeat and simply want to put on a meaningless offensive exhibition, that's why you play defense.

Here's a thought - 1114 et al wouldn't hesitate to have their alliance employ defensive tactics against their opponents if they knew they were needed to achieve victory on the field.

By the way - calling that perfectly legal open-field defense in the video blockading is...regrettable. I'd refer to the call as something else, but this is a family forum.
