Connecticut Regional 2013

Wild Ride!

Congratulations to Rocketeers, Cyberknights, and Grasshoppers; that alliance was impossible to beat, and many of us saw it coming by Friday afternoon.

After that it was a race for runner-up. I've never seen such a powerful field filling up all eight elimination slots. with 3 of the 4 quarterfinals going to a 3rd match, (and even 1 v 8 wasn't a pushover) it's a testimony to the challenge that is the CT Regional.

Thanks to Gus, for picking us, and to Aftershock & Cyber Rams. For a while, we did make it rain, and that was awesome.

Thanks to the Ticks for taking our stuff!

By my count, at least 7 Connecticut teams are heading to St. Louis: Fill-in any that I've missed:

178 (CT Engineering Inspiration)
195 (CT Winners)
230 (CT Chairman's)
236 (Hall-of-Famers)
2168 (WPI Winners)
4557 (WPI Rookie All-Star)
4572 (CT Rookie All-Star)

Re: Connecticut Regional 2013

694 will be going to CMP as the NY Regional Winners.

I have to agree that Hartford was an absolute blast. We went in knowing that this was going to be the real prep for Nationals. Though we were knocked out in semis, we still showed off a competitive robot and driveteam and the ability to handle last-minute strategy changes (a team substitution and the creation of noodlebot). Stuypulse is as ready as it's ever been to take on the best teams in the country, and it's thanks to the gauntlet that is Hartford.

Congrats to all the very deserving teams that walked away with awards, and I look forward to seeing all of them again in a few weeks!

Re: Connecticut Regional 2013

We had a great time at the Connecticut Regional since it was our first time there. Thanks to Gus, Team 228, for picking us and to Aluminum Falcons, Team 2168. We had a great time out on the field and we hope to see you guys next year if we come back.

After taking our Chairman's Award so many times, we'll consider you an honorary CT team! ;-)
