I tell you Im not sure, I pondered that question for the last three years. What we did in the past was construct the basic out line and skeleton poligons and then view the motion paths.
Then I would Render the scene in Lightwave because the school computers wouldnt render in time due to their lack of speed. We did what we could with what we had. The submission form asks what equipment was used to make your animation and doesnt say that only "their" product is to be used. As far as animations go Auto Desk is not an easy program to use.
