Two regional wins, and they keep getting better.
Yeah, just a simple fix in our shooter wheel speed control had the effects of increasing the precision of our control, decreasing the recovery time of the wheel, and making our automatic firing more reliable.

I swear after we got it working right we spent an hour just shooting Frisbees for "testing" purposes.

Oh, and happy birthday from S.W.A.T.!

That's on the same level as 1551's 'point defense system' shooting a ball out of midair at Buckeye last year.

+1 for a neat block.

Re: 1806's Full Court Shooter Showcase

I thought 1806 was one of the top teams on Galileo this year. Tremendously impressive FCS, but not discounted as a cycler as well. Plus that 20pt climb + 20pt dump. Take note people. 1806 just broke the first level into becoming a real powerhouse in the coming years.

Although it was great playing with you guys, we wish it had been under different circumstances.

You guys are a great group and had a great robot, but having 2 tall FCSes wasn't a good strategy at all.
3656 needs to do their scouting homework next time. They had a decent feeder station runner bot, but they ruined our alliance's chances by doing their picking based on average score alone, and just going down the list.
Truth be told, we wanted them to pick More Martians for their floor pickup, but they were dead set on using their scouting to choose.

Oh well, we'll get 'em next year.

Re: 1806's Full Court Shooter Showcase

Our robot throws custom $5.50 FIRST Frisbees at a rate of 75 discs per minute and a speed of ~32 feet per second.
It costs over $80 to feed our robot for 12 seconds.
