District Champion Playoff for Fun
When the time comes that there are districts in NE and CA, how cool would it be to have the winning alliances paired back together after championships for a showdown like a represent your region clash.
NE vs CA and MAR vs MI and then the winners face off to show which region builds the strongest alliances. ![]() I hope that many years down the line the FIRST championship becomes like this; a real clash of the best of the best divided by region |

Re: District Champion Playoff for Fun
This is a really good idea, I', interested in how you would balance the regions though as California, Michigan, and Canada would probably come out with far more powerful alliances than other regions mostly due to the population of teams, California probably has twice as many teams as most other states.

Re: District Champion Playoff for Fun
Well seeing as it would come down to the winners of the state or region championship it would be pretty fair I think despite different densities of teams.
2 powerhouses and a really solid 3rd robot. The more district models that come up, the more interesting this becomes... I'd like to see CA, NE, Canada, and the Northwest |

I'm not quite seeing the point your trying to make, unless you're just listing stats for the 3 regions I mentioned. Do you have the stats for other regions too? I'd be interested in seeing team populations for other areas.

Re: District Champion Playoff for Fun
Just listed the stats. Kind of replying to the end of your comment about Cali having 2x the teams. Threw in the teams per square mile to just show why Cali hasnt gone district just yet compared to why Michigan had.

Canada as a whole? Most teams are from Ontario or Quebec, with a little pocket in Alberta.

Re: District Champion Playoff for Fun
Last I knew there was a team in Anchorage. Ad I know my number for Canada is really off but I dont know Canada geographically enough to separate the teams by region. More likely than not, the Western and Central teams in Canada would get broken into the Northwest and Minnesota districts when they happen.
