Go to Post Fame is a funny thing, you can do nothing and get it, and do everything and get none. For me, it's not fame, but infamy that follows me. - Joe Matt [more]

We won the Imagery Award at both regionals we attended-- Lake Superior Regional and North Star Regional.

Team 111 - Wildstang from Midwest Regional. They have some awesome tie-dye shirts. Their robot has LEDS while waiting has like a rotating color scheme. They have some really cool LED signs for their numbers that they hold in the stands that are multi-color as well.

I'm amused, because we seems to have won for our "Lighting up robotics" theme. Judges seem to like LEDs this year a bit more?

Re: Who were your Regional Imagery Award Winners?

2607 is a MAR team, so we don't know our regional Imagery Award Winner yet..
But at our last district event, team 1228 won the imagery award, and I feel it was very well deserved.

The whole team wore Captain America shield shirts, had a Captain America mascot, and the from of the robot had Captain America painted on it. (Plus, they shot frisbees through CA's shield, it was pretty clever.)

Re: Who were your Regional Imagery Award Winners?

For the record, 111 did NOT win the Imagery Award in Midwest. That went to the team I mentor, Team 2194 Fondy Fire. We have FIRE tye-dye! But the LED's are no doubt cool. Just wanted to correct any confusion here. Wildstang has won Imagery a lot, but they also didn't win it at Wisconsin, that went to Cybertooth, the purple tye-dye team. So judges definitely like tye-dye!

Weird, our shirts were tye-dye this year as well. Coincidence? I think not.
