Well, to be fair, 3 of those red discs were scored during teleop and there isn't really an endgame per se this year. I would call it a 100 pt pyramid score, though.

I'll go out on a limb and say this is the highest pyramid score we will see all season.

That alliance was exciting to watch. Such a big point swing at the end you couldn't be sure which way the match would go.

Re: pic: This is what a 100 pt. endgame looks like.

MSC is just a great experience.

The goal of our alliance was to put as many points on the board (pyramid??) as possible and not pay a lot of attention to defense. We knew we weren't going to outshoot the #5 alliance in the wall goals, and we knew we would be behind in the "real-time" score at the end of the match. With 2145 and 3572 carrying discs, 1918 was able to run more cycles before climbing and didn't draw defense. We figured we had a max potential of around 220 points if everything went perfectly (66 auton, 54 in white discs, 30 in colored discs, and 70 climb). We hit 193 in both quarterfinals. In the Semi's, we lost our focus on the tower, had some technical issues, and just plain got beat by 2054, 67, and 2337.

I think this is the match that the losing alliance scored 192 points. That had to hurt. Only at MSC.

I hope 3572 makes it in to CMP. They deserve it.

Re: pic: This is what a 100 pt. endgame looks like.

I like how every team on this alliance had the ability to score in the pyramid goal. That must be pretty rare.

Thanks, you have no idea how much it meant to us to be a part of that alliance. Being two spots out of qualifying for St. Louis is huge too, but money is and potentially always will be our biggest problem. I personally financed a chunk of our MSC bid (don't tell my wife about that one), but it will come down to sponsor support if we do get called up for a run at champs. Our 5-7 active members built a great machine this year with the help of myself and one other full time mentor. They deserved to be at MSC, but we'll just have to wait and see what happens in the next few days with regards to anything further...
