Thumbs up Re: Michigan State Championship

Congrats to 469, 3539, and 217. I'm not sure we could have lost to any more friends than this alliance. You guys were unbelieveable. If I could have gotten my head out of out robot's drivetrain, I would have loved to see the awesome power of this alliance. I will be sure to go back and re-watch your matches.

469 - Someday, someday, we'll get another chance to play together. Hopefully, that chance comes in 2 weeks. You guys are awesome to hang with at the competition. Our teams could not have more fun together! You guys are the best robot in Michigan.

3539 - Our Troy partners. If I thought we had a shot to play together, we would have loved to try it together again. You guys really pulled it together with that auton today. Just amazing.

217 - We were hoping they would over look you. We were all set to make the pick, until #2 snatched you up. You guys were hands down the best full-back we have had this season. I was really worried when we saw that 2337 was going to have to try and push you guys out of our shooting lane.

Mike and Paul - Congrats on winning together! Knowing you guys, it must have been both awesome and weird all at the same time.

Congrats to 27, 503, and 2337 on the Chairman's award! You guys deserve it.

To 2054 and 2337 - I'm sorry we had so many issues with the robot. It had been pretty solid up until the eliminations. This alliance had so much potential. I think we only unleashed it's full power once, in F1.

2054 - You guys were great. You really carried us there for a couple of matches. Once again our drivetrain issues (same @ WM-2011) ruin a chance to win with you guys.

2337 - So glad we could FINALLY get a chance to play with you guys. You guys played our fullback role perfectly. It's so nice to be able to get such a smart and reliable team at the 24th pick.

I need some serious rest....

Congrats to the chairmans award winners 27, 503, and 2337 and to 469, 3539, and 217 on the MSC chamionship win.

Thank you 67 and 2337 for accepting our invitaion for an alliance. You were both awesome and held us up when we were having issues. That is called team work and I think we really had that going for us. But as we all knew we needed our "A" game to win and and we only were able showed it a couple of matches during eliminations.

To team 67, Almost like west michigan 2011.

I think we had the right alliance but it was not meant to be.

To 1918 NC Gears from what I see from our drivers post you gratously you used your time out for our problem and were not able to use it when you needed it. That is GRATIOUS PROFESSIONALISM at it's best and I am sorry it worked out the way it did. We respect your team and hope to be on the same side of the window at nationals or any othe venue because you are a class act!!!

to team 67, I actually felt better that it was not only us that had issues because I felt bad about our performance and our team never wants less than our "A" game for our alliance partners but it happens and you have to accept it.

To 469 you guys are always awesome. My rookie year was 2010 and you guys messed with my mind with your choke hold robot. You carried us our last seeding match and I appologise for our poor performance but our shooter wheels that usually go 5-6 matches were not right after only playing one We believe you owe your alliance to play your best but sometimes your robot has issues you did not anticipate.

The teams and robots this year are awesome and a lot of great teams did not get to eliminations.

Thanks for the kind words, but I don't think that's quite what happened. As I understand it, somebody from our alliance asked the referees if we could take a time-out right after yours between S1-1 and S1-2 to give you more time, but they wouldn't allow back-to-back time outs. After S1-2, we noticed the un-mistakable aroma of a sample dose of the magic smoke of death coming from one of our shooter motors. We tethered up to check it out, and that let the rest of it out. By then, it was too late to call a time-out or call in a backup robot for S1-3, so we did what we could with what we had.

Thanks also to 2145 for picking us and 3572 for completing the alliance. It all worked out very well when things were working. You were both great to work with and tenacious fighters. I hope we get the chance to do it again sometime.

Congratulations to everybody that made it to MSC, the winning & finalist alliances, all the award winners, and the teams that made it through to CMP. Thanks to all who made the event possible. What can I say that hasn't already been said a million times. MSC is an absolute riot.

And to 2054 - all this idle chit-chat about getting on the same side of the glass someday is like dealing with the weather. Everybody talks about it, but nobody ever does anything about it...
