How does the waitlist work?

The Dirty Mechanics came back from both of our Regionals with out a St. Louis bid. We registered for the waitlist soon after it opened.

How does this work? Is it a first come first serve thing, or is there some merit to it as well? Do teams get notified if/when they are off the waitlist? We're a second year team, so I don't really know how this goes down...

It is first-come, first-serve, essentially. You will be notified--some teams have already found out that they're going via waitlist.

But divisions have been released; it's not likely more than a couple more teams will be pulled from the waitlist.
