Code Orange 3476 2013 Robot Reveal "Mavericks" (Better Late Than Never)

Code Orange 3476 would like to present "Mavericks," our 2013 robot.

It is not shown well in the video, but we have a fast pre or post buzzer 10 point hanger.

http://youtu.be/ZtiuyRPAeiE

The video's a little late, as we ran out of time during the season.

Feel free to ask questions and see you at championship!

We will be in the Newton division.

I saw your robot in 2012, and was very impressed by it. I see this robot and am blown away by it. That autonomous is killer. Great job guys, and I can't wait to see it in action again.

Easily one of the best autonomous modes out there. What kind of sensors do you guys use in it?

We use encoders on the drivetrain to see how far we have driven, and a gyro to make sure we are driving straight. On the flywheel there is a 1 tick/rotation encoder to keep the shooter consistent. All of these are controlled by PID loops.

Very creative use of the middle goal in auto. I'm always highly impressed both by your robot quality and the quality of the videos you guys produce. That Benny Benassi song is really becoming your official theme now.

Yes, we will. We were in the finals of Inland Empire and lost to the Holy Cows alliance. We got a wildcard from the Cow's San Diego Chairman's.
