Last I checked, FIRST did not address 802.15(Bluetooth) in the rule book, only 802.11. And this year I did not see anything in the rule book regarding either standard(trust me, I had to make sure that Bluetooth worked for Team RUSH's scouting system right when the rule book came out, and I did not see anything there or in the administrative handbook).

If that's the case, I'm a happy guy. I had wanted to use 802.15.4 to make a comm network from stands to pit using ZigBee.

Teams are not allowed to set up their own 802.11a/b/g/n/ac (2.4GHz or 5GHz) wireless communication (e.g. access points or ad-hoc networks) in the venue.
