KnightKrawler Newton Release Video FRC 2052

Here is FRC Team 2052 Robot named "Silverfish":
This will be our first year competing at Nationals and we hope to have a lot of fun doing so.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HEDH5Dw_UHE

About the bot:
"Silverfish," features quick and nimble mechanum drive, a variable-angle curved shooter, ability to quickly load from the feeding station, ability to drive under the pyramid, and a quick 10-pt climber. Excellent driving skills and great coaching and strategy make the most of these features.

Also, for those interested some details about this past season.
We would like to bring to your attention a great robot from Minnesota: FRC 2052, KnightKrawler from Irondale High School in New Brighton. In its 7th year, 2052 earned its first Regional win at the Lake Superior Regional. Seeded 9th overall, KnightKrawler relied on its excellent scouting data to decline a pick from the 2nd seed, eventually becoming the 7th seed alliance captain. 2052 then picked 16th-ranked 2062 and 31st-ranked 4011 to form an alliance based on autonomous scoring, quick shooting, 10-pt climbing, and great defense. This alliance upset the 2nd and 3rd seeds on its way to an "all-Cinderella" final, beating out the 8th seeded alliance in three matches. The winning alliance posted the high score of the regional, 154, in the quarterfinals, and scored 99 or higher in every elimination match, except one where a red card was given for contact with the pyramid. The winning alliance then played an exhibition match against the winners from the Northern Lights Regional, the 3rd-seeded alliance of traditional powerhouses 2169, 525, and 3061, with Lake Superior edging out the win 116-113. 2052's robot, "Silverfish," features quick and nimble mechanum drive, a variable-angle curved shooter, ability to quickly load from the feeding station, ability to drive under the pyramid, and a quick 10-pt climber. Excellent driving skills and great coaching and strategy make the most of these features. This highlight video features footage from that match: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hamU_MvbK10.

Also brought home the gold at 10K Lakes regional at the U of M.
Total regional wins this year 2 out of 2.

Re: KnightKrawler Newton Release Video FRC 2052

Nice video! I haven't been able to see much of your team because we were competing at northern lights in Duluth while you were over at the Lake superior regional a few feet away. As for 10,000 lakes we were across the street at North Star. You guys have had a very good season and we're excited to see you at the state meet! I think an alliance between our teams could be pretty successful at the MSHSL state meet on the 18th. See you there!
Also here is a link to our video. With our likely 7 disk auton waiting to make its debut at Championships I think we'd have one heck of an alliance at the state tourney.

Re: KnightKrawler Newton Release Video FRC 2052

Fighting Calculators,
Nice video and great bot. Like the 5 disk autonomous, and congrats on your win at North Star. Yeah we haven't seen much of you either this year, but I agree we would make a great alliance at State.

See you in St. Louis.

I still have a hard time believing it's 2052's first trip to CMP. KnightKrawler always has an impressive and effective robot. Your two regional wins this year were well-deserved and long-overdue. Congrats. Best of luck to you guys in St. Louis!

Re: KnightKrawler Newton Release Video FRC 2052

First of all....good luck in St. Louis. You guys will do great because you have an awesome robot and a rock solid drive team.

Second - I feel honored that you showed the clip of 3883 Databits committing a technical foul on you in the feeder station. You missed the spinning in circles in an attempt to clear the upside down Frisbee though. Here is the video of the match, in case you can't remember what happened.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYPF3acNeaU&list=PLEnSGnBg_0PpMacU9LurFBfR y9veokpd9&index=7

Third - I do feel that if you had allowed me to fix that one wire on your robot, the outcome in the Duluth Regional quarter-finals would have been in 3883's favor.

Mentor Rodney

P.S. Call me if you need me to fix the wires on any of the other alliances' robots in St. Louis.

Re: KnightKrawler Newton Release Video FRC 2052

Rodney, it's always an honor playing against 3883. However, competing with your team is even better. I was really really disappointed to see you guys not making it to state. (unless I am wrong)

As for the wiring help, we could use it after state.

I hope for a year of success for both our teams next year, who knows maybe I can help you with wiring troubles on your bot.

Rodney,
You'll be happy to know that bump of yours that flipped our disk upside down led us to make an improvement to our bot. Upside down disks are no longer a problem for 2052 Thanks for pointing out that flaw in our original design. I guess we never thought teams would intentionally give give us a technical foul while full court shooting to jam us

We knew if we did not make it in, it would be by the skin of our teeth. We ranked 34th. Just missed it. We will do better next year.
