Best Team Without A Win in 2013

2826. Amazing robot and spectacular to see at Northern Lights. I'm so glad they're at champs.

If it's best team without a win, I think 907 takes the gold. They didn't win a single match their first event. Their OPR was over 50, and they did exceedingly well their second event.

Well, I wouldn't say that the 79/379/383 alliance ever did beat them. In match one, where 2415 played, they won 113 to 69. 2415 never played again. they sat out the second match of finals to try to get the Crio back on-line, and in the third match, they called in a backup. I realize it's just semantics, but in order to lose to someone, don't you have to play?

And in the one match that 2415 won, 79 tipped over. The two alliances never met at "full strength." The 79/379/383 alliance was consistently putting up higher scores than the 116/2415/4466 alliance through the entire elimination tournament. Granted, the #5 alliance was rolling three offensive machines as compared to the 2 offensive and one defensive scheme of the #2 alliance, but the balanced scoring of the #5 alliance was also very difficult to defend.

Nobody on the 116/2415/4466 alliance thought the finals would be easy or a guaranteed win, even before 2415's cRio issues. 4466's shooter was no longer working properly, so we couldn't match their offensive style (which would have been our preferred solution), and it was difficult to pick and ideal target for 4466 to defend given that all three of their machines were scoring very well.

I think that with 1310's absolutely amazing performance so far in Curie, I'd say they are the best team without a win. Not even considering their great performances cut short by 1114/2056 at two events, they have the second highest autonomous score next to 2056 (short by a measly 4 points, I remember seeing a match where they fumbled one) and the fourth highest teleop score next to 195 in Newton and 2169/1425 in Galileo.

So much for a 2nd-tier team. I've got a feeling that they'll be fighting—and succeeding—to be the top of the Canadian block in future years. Even this year, they have an excellent chance at being either alliance captain or first pick for the first two seeds.

After being around the field with them this weekend at Curie - 67 is absolutely the best robot to not win an event in 2013. Awesome machine.

They might not be as good as 67 or 1310, but 1241 had a fantastic robot that won it all with 610 and 1477 with an EI giving them a berth to champs.

Not to toot my own horn or anything but I feel like a lot of Michigan teams, Truck included, do very well but come up short when it comes to wins.

My team is happy that for the first time we will not be appearing on this thread I would have to say 67 or 2337. Both are great teams that did very well this year and went far on their field at champs but just didn't manage to get a win
